The wraith-like beings surrounding the team of five Elves might be wights of some kind. In the book, the barrow-wights were described as having glowing eyes. These might even be from a barrow. These wouldn't be the same barrow wights that Frodo and co. encountered in the book, but could be barrow wights in the Second Age nonetheless. They could be serving Sauron, or perhaps they are outer manifestations of the residual power of Morgoth that continues to infect all of Arda. Just guessing.

Damn, always a lot of haters and tolkien bandwagons still want this series to stop yet here I am, appreciative that some people still tried to make a series out of these amazing books. While a movie can cover up the important events of a book a series is actually a good way of reenacting what was written. Of course some stuff will be added just like GoT did because a lot of scenes from that serie are also not found in the actual book. Imagine if amazon started this serie way back to eru illuvatar's creation of arda and not sauron but morgoth's actual rebellion? Now I'm wondering, where will that series end? Lol.

I can't...rop is such a friggin trash fire! I am SO jaded with this show because of the disrespect they've showed to us fans and Tolkien himself, calling us "patently evil" and "racist" cuz we don't want their garbage politics they've put into Middle Earth. Me and millions of other fans will not forgive them for that. The worst part is, is this COULD have been the greatest T.V show of all time. I was so hopeful for this when they announced it back in what 2015 or 17 or so. It breaks my heart they did this to what could have been the best show ever!
Wonder if theyre going to top themselves and make it even worse than Season 1? Hard to believe it's even possible but I believe in Amazon 😂
Truly surprised people watch this show, the first season was like a slow moving car crash, literally 65% of viewers not bothering to even watch the finale is never good for a show.
